Eira Lynn Jones will be joined by her students from the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester for the Opening Concert at the Harp on Wight International Festival. This innovative harp class enjoy finding new and interesting repertoire. They have performed under the Dinosaur at the Natural History Museum, London; a BBC Radio 3 live broadcast from the Huddersfield International Contemporary Music Festival and in a concert featuring 20 harps to celebrate the music of John Cage. The concert is to include works by Caroline Lizotte, Monika Stadler, Anna Appleby, Catherine Kontz, Grace-Evangeline Mason and Dorothy Ashby.
